VMD Corp, a leader in passenger and baggage screening services at airports across the United States, is seeking an on-site Project Manager (Aviation Security) at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) . The role involves managing operations related to passenger, baggage, and cargo screening to ensure safety and security. Responsibilities include: Applying current TSA Security Screening Directives, Regulations, and SOPs to manage passenger checkpoints and baggage screening areas. Supporting and managing performance metrics collection and analysis. Proposing process improvements to address systemic or individual weaknesses. Prioritizing passenger safety and security while maintaining customer service standards. Coordinating crisis management and incident response protocols. Building relationships with airport stakeholders. Scheduling screening personnel and promoting their development through ongoing performance assessments. Being available on call for security-related instructions and overseeing security personnel performance, implementing corrective actions as needed. Qualifications include: At least 7 years of general management experience or 3 years as a certified Supervisory TSO (STSO) or higher. At least 5 years of management experience in aviation security, airport operations, or personnel security services. Proficiency in managing teams of 100+ employees. Skills in using project management software like Microsoft Project. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Preferred experience includes roles such as Federal Security Director or similar, and certification in Project Management (e.g., FAC-PM, DAWIA, PMP). Candidates must be US citizens or nationals, able to obtain Secret clearance, and hold a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
