Position: Senior Project Engineer

Location: Bay Area, CA

Compensation: $100,000 to $125,000 annually

100% paid for benefits for self, 50% dependents.

Position Summary:

We’re seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a strong foundation in commercial construction and a passion for learning complex, regulated project environments. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a Project Manager role quickly, while gaining firsthand experience managing field coordination, submittals, RFIs, and compliance documentation on high-profile public and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning and executing HCAI and DSA-regulated construction projects
• Manage submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and field documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and consultants to ensure compliance with project specs and regulations
• Track schedules, procurement logs, and budgets to support project delivery timelines
• Participate in preconstruction planning, job walks, and field coordination meetings
• Ensure document control and reporting procedures are followed across all project phases
• Assist in creating and updating project schedules and look-aheads
• Help manage safety documentation and ensure site safety compliance
• Proactively identify project risks or issues and communicate solutions to the team

Qualifications:

• 2 to 6 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with exposure to healthcare (HCAI) or school (DSA) projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
• Working knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Excel
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Eagerness to grow into a leadership role and take on increased responsibility
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask across multiple project priorities
